After 18 seasons riding Swallow boards at La Meije (home-made boards, then a FreeSurf 184), I bought a brand new 1998-99 Tanker 192 at a sales last summer, and went and destroyed myself and the board on the first day out! (I hit at full speed a moraine cropping hiding under 50 cm of fresh powder). Before the impact the board was behaving absolutely marvelously, both in speed and turnings, extremely stable, easy to direct, trustworthy in "trafollée" (heavy broken snow) etc. Unfortunately it took me one descent to get the angles right on my new StepIn + fix, and the game was over halfway through the second descent: so I didn't have much time to take the board to its limits. Anyway I was delighted and I will not hesitate to buy another one!
