I traded a Scott board in for this Rossignol Pro Series board 2 years ago in 2001. THC stands for triple Hybrid construction. Its bomproof wood core with laminated kevlar carbon full length strips and whatever the heck else they construct it with. Best year for the graphics which is purple with lightning strikes. This is a stout board which requires rider attention and a little muscle. Probably all an expert board ought to be, however not really even a touch forgiving as far as flexing in say a mogul field carved out of shorty skis...If flying off ravines, or flying mach snell down a wide open double black bowl, or boarding where no person has gone before is your bag,... than a board like the higher end Rossis Pro models with THC construction are ones you can trust where your life would depend on it...In reality for most of us, it Carves on hard pack very nice compared to most free ride boards I've tried. Very durable, tough product that will take some beating. More boards ought to be built this tough. It's not a perfect all around ride, but it's one tough sled.
