This is the board that I learned my toe-side turn! Well, sort of. I couldn't do it very well and I kept falling, but I progressed from the bunny slope to the standard green on this board and on the basis of that I like it!

At any rate, I think it is an excellent beginner board. The extruded base is not that fast; the board itself is light and the flex not too stiff, perfect for starters. In addition, the width is narrow enough for my size 7 feet.

Is the Lite good for more advanced riders? I honestly don't know. I used the Lite for a couple of days and then I moved on to a better board (Harvest Women Surf, it's made by Glissade. Read my review on it!). But for what I could tell, it's easy to handle and never did I feel it was "too much board" for a novice that I was.

On another note, I heard that Joyride boards may delam on the nose if you smash it too hard. So, if you're one of those tree riders like my brother, maybe you should consider a more bomb-proof deck. Something like a... Never Summer? An expensive and hard to find Never Summer? But for my riding, the Joyride is truely a joy.
