My friend bought it for $99, and I'm all for cheap boards, I don't think a board has to be expensive to be a great board. But this isn't the one. I took two runs on Jerome Hill at Sugar Bowl and that was enough. I was really having problems turning it in the ungroomed. It felt 'dead' and just too stiff to initiate carved turns. I felt like a beginner throwing this board edge to edge in the thick ungroomed that I can normally jam through. If I can't drive the board into a toeside turn by just leaning over my front leg, then it just doesn't work for me. Toeside on an icy section the tail was sliding out instead of grabbing... no really, it wasn't me! I took a run on the groomed and could actually get used to this board if I stayed on groomed only (if it were 5cm longer and with stiffer bindings). I could carve larger turns on groomed okay, but it really needs a bigger tip and tail, with a smaller turn radius. This model is about 4 season old now, so maybe Jobe has figured out these problems... or maybe it's just me.

Two runs gave me enough of the impression--I had to jump into my Morrow Master just to be sure it wasn't the conditions, or my condition, for that matter. Later in the day I had some epic runs through the exact same terrain, so now I have to wonder how many people are stuck on lame boards and don't even realize it. I'm already worried about what I'm going to replace this board with. It's irreplaceable. I'm pretty sure they gave up on the triple barrel carbon fiber construction and went to wood when they were bought out by K2... are they even making boards under the Morrow name now? I guess not.

I just pulled out a tape measure, and the difference between the Jobe and the Morrow are tiny, the same waist within 2mm, the Morrow has a wider tip/tail by about 6mm, about 1/4 inch. Trying to flex the board without standing on it, no way to tell the difference between these boards.
