The Mercury is a very good board, the best I have ridden so far. It is a little heavy, because it has a metal core, and wood caps, but it handles excellent. Flex is pretty good for a metal core, turns are a little wide, but it can hold a carve very well. I think it is more for the experienced riders, it takes a few trips to get used to, but it is an excellent board, and can handle a pipe very well.
