I needed a board and I was broke. At $180 US retail, and less than $140 on sale,
this was a deal I couldn't pass up. It seemed like a fairly light, well-made board.
I like steep technical terrain, and I thought a shorter board would work well for
me. I took this board to Incline Village, NV for a single day, then sold
the board. There was nothing wrong with it, it's just
that this board was too short and too soft for my weight and for the type of riding
I do. It carved short-radius turns nicely on groommed and was completely predictable
in deep powder runs through the trees. But on high speed groomed runs the front end
would vibrate. It was just too short for the way I ride. If you're a beginner, or
weight less than 140 lbs and/or like a softer board, this board
would be perfect for you. If you weight 165 lbs and expect a board to respond quickly
on steep moguls, uh... try elsewhere.
As a completely irrelavant aside, on that day I was on a lift with friends Wendy and
Keith and I told them that I drank 3-4 diet Cokes a day for my caffiene fix. They
said NutraSweet (aspartame) causes brain tumors! I thought I could find good
information on the internet about this, instead I found... well, check out my web
site at: www.aspartametruth.freeservers.com.
Final note: I just bought a 1998 Morrow Lithium 161cm at 50% off... will let you know as
soon as it snows!
