I was pleased with the performance of this board, for my first two seasons. It was not the stiffest board I have ever ridden, so those accidental turns onto mogul runs were trying. However, the chatter was kept to a minimal. Because of it's size, I could not reach phenomonal speeds, but it was free, so I guess it was fast enough. The carving takes some getting used to. I had to really throw my weight around to carve well - more so than the Nidecker or B-Line - even after a sweet tune-up. I must say tho - if you take a really laid back and lazy approach, this board is a smooth coaster. I always enjoyed a slower cool- down run after a day at the slopes. I think it makes a better coaster than performer - for those of you who aren't up there to tempt fate (if there are any of you...) It is a board of medium weight, and I think it would perform better if it were lighter. I would reccomend this board to beginners, but the more advanced rider would probably find it a wee bit frustrating. (I ride with 1998 Palmer Speedtrap bindings, which I will never ride without. They definately allowed more riding time, and less frozen-butt time.) I would rate this board to be a 6/10.
