THE GOOD The joyride 173 is a long-ass board, which means for speed downhill, it can't be beat. This is the main reason I got one,to try and keep up with mates who ski, mission accomplished. It is also great for keeping on top of soft, slushie,melting or powder snow. Turns on a dime because of the big radius and high camber (me and a mate on skis did about 250m of perfect fig 8's down a slope last week) THE BAD With length comes weight and plenty of it, great for steamrolling any thing in your way, bad for carrying long distances and busting big air. The length also wreaks havoc on 1/2 pipes and steep jumps/kickers not to mention lift queues. GENERAL A great speed board, don't look for freestyle preformance from it because you won't find it.
