Everyone says this board is stiff but it's not nearly as stiff as my previous ride the Salomon Definition. Still, it is too stiff for a beginner. I dig the side cut; this board turns sharp & HARD when you ask it to. It is super stable at speed-carve with confidence. It is better than average running the flats. If you care, the construction is sandwich. I just wish this nasty board had some nasty graphics. The black color is great but the mountain scene is too serene-supply your own decals.
