This is an excellent snowboard. My previous board was very very soft and did not hold any hard turns. I recently bought the Vinson 61 and have noticed a huge difference in the way it handles. It is very solid board. The flex pattern is very stiff and took some getting used to. After a few runs I got comfortable on the edges and could drive my turns as hard as I wanted to without the board giving out. The edges feel like they would hold a huge amount of force without any slipping. One time I had to make an emergency stop (slow skier ahead) on my toe side, and I leaned all the way over so that I was almost laying down on the slope. I expected the board to slip out from underneath me but the edge held easily. it was surprising. The board is also quite fast--I found myself passing all of my friends on the flats. Some riders may find this board too stiff. I found it hard to hold a manual on it, and it takes a lot of force to ollie with it. When you do ollie, the tail has a good amount of snap and pops you up pretty high. It also feels quite light for such a fast, solid board. The landings are really stable--you can land on your edge and ride it out smoothly. Overall the Vinson is a great board and well worth the money.
