I read a number of reviews on this board before purchasing. Most of them seemed to be saying this is a great board for carving, but is not for beginner because it is very stiff and not forgiving of mistakes. I would consider myself a decent intermediate rider, but certainly not advanced, so was a bit worried that the board would be too much for me to handle. Armed with this information I went into a Board shop in Wellington, New Zealand. The guy their said "forget your fears I'll sell you this board, and if you don't like it after ten days of boarding bring it back and I'll give you a full refund." Who can say no to such a deal? Anyway there will be no need to return it. After two days of riding I'm hooked. Yes it is stiff, and likes to go fast, but it is certainly very manageable for a good intermediate rider. It feels very secure going across icy patches which are quite common on Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand. My advice is to buy it - you won't regret it. I also got Ride Preston EX bindings with the board. Great rigidity, although I did find the ratchets a bit tricky to undo. A bit of force is required.
