FANTASTIC BOARD!!! I put Ride EX bindings on it (great bindings) and this thing SCREAMS through the moguls, trees, powder, & slush. I've been riding an old asym twin-tip Ride, which is very stiff, unforgiving, and responsive. I must be from the old school, though, because contrary to many of the other posts, I think this Nitro is very kind and will let you get out of anything. That may be because I base everything off of my old Burton Mystery Air and Ride. And while I’m comparing boards, it rides the steep flats very much like the Burton Omen. The Naturals nose is softer than the tail and makes going off-piste a breeze. The softer nose, though, starts to wobble at higher speeds (30 mph or higher) and makes is unstable, even in corduroy. I found that carving on this board takes a little more finesse than others that I have rode because of the softer nose and the dual arced sidecut. You can feel the two different sidecut arcs by slightly shifting your weight either towards the nose or tail on a deep carve. You’ll find out real quick when all of sudden your start taking a different line. Riding fakie (switch for all you new schoolers), rails and the pipe is a little tricky and not recommended, but it will get you through them. Spins aren’t that easy either. However, LAUNCHING IS DA BOMB!!! For simple tricks off of a large jump, you’ll be very happy. It lands like a dream in both powder and ice and I have had no problem in the park as long as I don’t spin or go switch. I’ve ridden this board on ice, on powder-packed powder, fresh powder (6”), trees, and slush and it has always cruised through all of them without significant effort. In summary, if you’re looking for an all-mountain freestyle that screams through the moguls, trees, powder & slush and you love large jumps, this board will make you cream your pants.
