I bought this board because I wanted something a little more manuverable and flexible for things like bumbs, steeps, and tight quarters. Compared to my last board, a 00/01 Ride Timeless 158cm, this is super quick edge to edge. The waist width is much narrorer on the Palmer (24.6 vs. 25.5 on the Timeless). I found it too quick at first, but now I am comfortable after a couple days of adjusting. The board handles really well, is really light, and has good pop. It isn't as damp as the Timeless however, so powering through chop and crud let's you feel all of it. The Honey Circle holds and edge well during carves. I do notice the difference in side cuts between my 2 boards though. The Timeless has a dual radius sidecut which tightens up at the end of the turn, whereas the Palmer has a larger single radius sidecut of 8.9. The board is pretty fast even though it doesn't have a graphite/gallium base. I've not ridden it in deep powder yet, so I don't know how it performs. My Timeless was really nice because of the width, but took alot of work to keep the nose afloat (even with the bindings setback).
