I was very excited to pick up a Burton Custom 166 recently. I agree with a lot of other people who say that you should not spend lots of cash for brand names but I did a lot of research and this board met the specs of what I was looking for and I got a great deal. The first thing I noticed was how light the board was on my feet. After a couple of runs I also noticed that it really holds the edge well in turns and transitions. I saw a big difference from my old board in the pop of the board. I am getting bigger air off of every jump and the landings feel real good too. I am not sure if this board is really so awesome or if my old board just sucked really badly. Other boards may be better in one area or another but if you are like me and you like to do everything, I would totally recommend this board as a great all around rider.
