Exellent beginner board. This is my first season and the first day was painful. The rental board I used (Don't know the brand) was a heavy and tatterd piece of rusted edge sh!t. I decided to buy my own stuff and went with burton. My second day out (with the new cruzer) was like day and night. Within a couple runs I was linking turns.
This board will give you the confidence to learn the basics of turning and carving; damn-near pain free. It will give more time to react before you catch an edge so you have time to figure out what your doing wrong.
I'm new so I dont know anything about pop and flew and whatnot. All I know is this board goes where I want it to go and stays in a turn until I want out.
The board is a little heavy now that I've had a chance to compare it with others. The graphic on the base side is a little weak with a nasty pepto-bismol pink color; but thats my opinion.
If you want an affordable biginner board than the cruzer is it.
