----------///=========( Review )=========\\\----------

I am returning for a follow up from Jan when I posted a review on this board as it was fresh out of the wrappers. It is now early April and I have used this board for the last week. The board has done a full season out of a hire shop in France and so I thought it would be interesting to let you know how it has held up. It was on sale for 320 Euros which I thought was steep. In Jan we had loads of fresh powder and I was well taken with it's ability both in and out of the deep.It rode fantastically in the powder both in Jan and March, coped well in Jan with the bashed pistes, carved well, was very quick on the flatter sections and coped well with the slush in March. But, and there is always a but, It was nearly knackered when I picked it up again in March and it had definitely relaxed a bit. It was no where near as responsive on the carve and on the early morning icy north facing pistes was positively scary. Not a place to be!! The board itself had held up reasonably well in the build quality stakes. The bottom had some abuse by the end of the first week as we had spent the whole time in the French back country and had clattered the odd root and stone, oops! The top was OK, although it didn't stand up to superficial scratching at all, but no delaminating had occured and essentially the main board was OK. Bear In mind this board has done 12 weeks this season in the hands of hirers, not the most sympathetic group of blokes and despite war damage, where it had taken bangs being chucked in and out of board holders on the cars, it had held up very well. Crunch time..Would I buy one? Yes, but I do want to try the custom first before forking out, but to date this has been one of the best boards I have ridden.(Others inc Salomon, Rossingnol and Nidecker)I am not easilly swayed by names and prefer to try before I buy. If I could loose the financial loading due to the fact that Burton is stamped on it i would be a lot happier. Bring on next season I say
