The board rode super sweet for what it was designed for, however it was definitly more freestyle than freeride. It wanted to chatter out at excessive speeds or on steep pitches (here on the East Coast). It did like pow though. Just keep it off steep hard/ice pack and you're golden. Good times. I liked the 2002 better than the 2003 version however. So, if you're the type of person that buys the BJ every year... keep your '02 or buy the Burton Custom X. Yum.
