The 2002 Woodie is a light, responsive, and smooth board . I also own a Santa Cruz 2000 T164 which is a very responsive and stiff board. Although I generally enjoy the instant response of the Santa Cruz, the board demands constant attention--no operator error allowed. The 2002 Woodie is built in Canada (by Option?) using sandwich construction---this board really holds an edge. The Woodie felt just as responsive as the Santa Cruz (very quick edge to edge) but allowed me to smoothly flow with the terrain (a great feeling). I felt that the board had just the right flex for a fun day tearing up the mountain. Overall, I am totally happy with the quality of the ride (the beautiful topsheet is just a very nice bonus) and would definitely recommend this board to a friend.
