This board is so much fun that I had to write a review. After talking to the very knowledgeable sales guy at Salty Peaks I decided to demo this board. This was only my third time snowboarding. The first time I went I rode a Burton learner board which I think was perfect for my first day. Second time I rode a cheap Rossi board from REI. The Timeless is night and day different from these boards. First of all the Timeless immediately felt light on my feet and I wondered if the board was as stiff as most have mentioned. It is definately plenty stiff but I don't think it is too stiff. As soon as I was brave enough to give the board some speed (remember this is only my third time out)it responded. I actually was able to turn just fine at low speeds but boy is this board fun when you give it the gas. I felt that I could pick basically any size turn and get it. My buddy demoed a Burton custom the same day and we traded for the last couple of runs. I thought he would prefer the Burton since he is signifigantly lighter than I am. He didn't. The Custom is a great board but the Timeless is just a lot more fun. I never felt felt like the Timeless was too much for me and only ended up on my ass twice. I have read where this board is possibly too much for a beginner/intermediate. This might be more true the lighter you are. I can't wait to demo a longer Timeless (it wasn't availible last time I went)and maybe even a 2003 model.
