I went shopping for a board to replace the K2 Fatbob that I learned on over the last 4 seasons. My size 12 boots had me searching for a wide-board and a friend who swears by his Never Summer had me looking at a Legacy. However, the Premier was almost as wide at the waist and the thought of not having to buy a huge wide-board was appealing enough to give the Premier a try. I got a 165 T5 and went riding on it last week for the first time. All I can say is that my riding has never been better. The thing is FAST and incredibly easy to turn from edge to edge. It is much stiffer than my old board which allows me to keep greater control at speed. If you enjoy tricks and mostly freestyle you may find this board too stiff. The weight is actually not that heavy and the construction seems bomb proof. I ran over a goddam root on one of my first runs (gasp) and upon inspection found NO DAMAGE whatsoever to my base. Overall I would highly recommend this board to anyone who enjoys riding fast and in control. Never Summer puts a 3-year warranty on all of their boards which make me feel pretty damn good about the quality of the workmanship. Definitely check one out if your in the market.
