I worked at a ski resort this past season and will do so again this season. I bought this board because it was supposed to hold up to most anything. At first I thought it was the perfect investment. It rode very stiff with a hard tip and tail great for cruising down groomers and deep powder. It would start to chatter pretty bad at high speeds on solid conditions but is still manageable. Doing freestyle was fun but limited because it was so stiff. It has a good weight for its size, great for hiking into backcountry, and is very stable for landing most airs. Because it was so light it was superb in the trees and on steeps where quick response is an absolute necessity. On ice I would occasionaly lose an edge but be quick on your feet and you'll recover quickly. In deep powder it was nice but did not respond very well. In shallow powder(3"-6") it kicked searious butt. Unfortunately it did not take damage very well. The slightest rock or tree would put marks in it and the cap construction began to fail. After a month and a half of daily riding and pretty average damage, I kept ptex and wax on it religiosly, (rock, tree, etc.) I noticed the cap construction sidewalls were begining to come apart right behind the heels of the bindings and exposing the layers of the board. It also warped the edge in the area. I stopped riding the board immediatly to prevent water from getting in between the layers. I packed up the board with a letter describing my situation and returned it under warranty through the dealer with which I bought it. I got a call ten days later telling me that they would not honor the warranty because damage was incurred by the user and not the fault of the manufacturer. Which I still believe is a cop-out by Ride so they do not have to honor any warranty once it has been out on the snow. This is still a good board with sweet graphics. As long as you only ride on groomers and no more than a couple weeks a year the board should perform well for you. I paid $375.00 bucks.
