I read a review that this board is not for beginners. I'm not ready to make my extreme video yet, but hell, anyone can ride this thing. Just take your licks and keep going. The sidecut is aggressive (8.0) so it holds a carve and turns quick. And if you do it too quick you can do a new trick called a faceplant. The one jump I tried, I landed on my goggles. My boy said "learn slow"..so what do I do? I ollied as hard as I could. It's flexible, but not too much. No it's probably not a beginner board, but to whoever wrote that review, you're not THAT good homey. If you're half way coordinated, you'll have no problem learning on this. Give it 3 or 4 trips and you're ready for (small) jumps. The Emma Peel is part of lib tech's hardcarving/frestyle series so give it a try, you'll grow out of a lesser "beginner" board quicker than you think - besides, that's just a gimick to make you buy the same brand's better boards.
