I'm only a beginner and wanted to get a board that would see me through the first week or so of falling on my arse and carry me through to the massive backside 540's I'm gonna be pulling next season!! I think I chose well! The clash is an excellent board; good flex, turns fast and seems to hold a carve as well as can be expected (although I'm only a newbie so I haven't got much else to compare it to). It also seems really light compared to the Nitro hire board I was riding on my last trip. The base isn't as tough as I'd hoped (well for £225 what can you expect); I went over a couple of stones and scratched it up a little but hey, thats riding for you.
All I can say is I don't think my cash would have been spent better anywhere else (my friends think I made the right choice aswell). In fact, one of my mates is gonna go out and buy a clash even though he's currently riding some ludicrously expensive GNU board. For some reason, he prefers mine!!
My only other complaint is that its a thin board so if you've got size 13 feet then you're gonna have a bit of difficulty turning because of the overhang. Other than that, I'm creaming myself!!!!
