As you can see this is my 5th season on a board, having skied for years before then. I have always rented in the past but this is one I might just buy. In the past I have used Burton Customs, a Dominant and a Saloman something! I started on a 156 but due to my weight, more weight training than eating too many pies honest! it was just too short. I have to say that one of the Customs was as good as this years Bullet but only just. The Bullet was a revelation, fresh from the packet and with new bindings I could hardly believe my luck.. This is rented I am talking about after all. On the Piste it was fantastic..the amount of carry on the flatter sections was incredible..years of unstrapping and having to walk on the paths were a thing of the past..and screaming past poling skiers made me laugh out loud, talk about revenge. This was a quick board and no mistake. It was accurate and confidence inspiring too, when being pushed fast on the pistes. But the last 2 seasons have been more about searching out deep powder for me, and there was no let down there either. It glided effortlessly and whilst not being the quickest from edge to edge it was never a problem. It wasn’t the lightest board, one of the lads with me was on a 167 and his board was noticibly lighter, and with the same bindings, and it was quite wide across the middle compared to some. The finish was good but the top did scratch up easily, but we are going back to the same resort again in March so I will update this and let you know how it has fared through the season, and I told Michelle (Shop owner), that if he still has it, and it is not totally trashed, I will make him an offer for it. I can’t comment on how it would be on a half pipe or catching air as that isn’t my thing, (Too bloody old!!) but if like me you enjoy jumping off mountains into untouched deep stuff you could do a lot worse…Have a good season all….
