The Proton GS 172 is an excellent race board, very safe and handles extra huge speeds. It carves deep trenches with no compromise. No doubt it is the 2001 world champ giant slalom board with K.Ruby.I am tall and heavy, and could barely feel any flaws in the board. Really nice smooth ride, but can also be violent if u want to push it to the limits..The board's nose bends nicely in turns entrance then the edge gets a full grip and keeps you like on a rail.....This board needs to be ridden both on the nose ( entrance )and tail ( exit ). Nice construction / Light too
