In short, this is the easiest riding board I have ever been on. And I've tried a lot of boards over the past four years - I've owned several and I never miss a demo day atmy local mountain. The board has a rather stiff flex but it feels very natural. Other stiff boards I've ridden - Salomons, K2s, have had an unnatural feel about them that I can't put my finger on but not this one! (Don't get me wrong - I'll take a Salomon over a noodly beginner board any day.) It just does what I tell it to. It is excessively stable - very little chatter at high speed, great for landing jumps, and it likes to carve. This particular size does not float my 180 pounds in foot-plus deep powder, but I am thinking of getting a longer, wider Donek for powder days. (It is still better in powder than my old Burton Custom 160 which is the same length and a little wider.) I had a few close encounters with exposed tree roots and rocks that only scratched the base, as opposed to the gouges that such encounters left in my Burton's base. This board craves speed, and I fully recommend it. Go to www.donek.com for for information.
