This is the second (and absolutely my last) Palmer's board that I got as a warranty replacement for the 2000 Honeycomb 155 which snapped right around the binding in Utah. The board rides fine but keeps delaminating all the time. I lost track of how many times I had to bring it to the shop for repairs. Most of them were the top sheet peeling off around the nose and tail. Then finally I almost injured myself when I suddenly felt great resistance like someone spilled glue on the trail right before the take off of one of the big hits in the snowboard park. I think I had time to bail, otherwise if I had taken the jump with the lost speed I would've landed on the flat section and hurt myself. When I got to the bottom of the hill and looked at the base, I saw that the "Palmer" p-tex writing peeled off completely. I was told that the board can't be repaired at the shop on the mountain and then brought it back to the shop where I had bought it from. They shipped it back to Palmer, this was the spring of 2001 and I've never heard from Palmer since. The shop owner explained that the warranty was valid from the date of the original purchase and not the date of replacement. I paid $555 for this board and it broke twice! I've seen a lot of good reviews on this board and all I can tell you guys if your Palmer board doesn't break within the first year then you ride like a bunch of pussies! When you take this board to the limit, it WILL break. It's not even worth a $100 let alone over $500! My word to Shaun Palmer – your boards suck as much as your arrogant snobby personality. My three issues with Palmer: one – the quality of boards. Two – customer service (no response, nothing for over half a year). Three – warranty (if your boards suck, you should keep replacing them forever or refund the money). I am so upset about this whole thing that I don’t even want a replacement from Palmer, I want my money back. Who would want to ride a board that can get you injured? My advice to everyone: Do not spend a dime on this board, you will highly regret it if you do.
