My only other board has been a rental rossi so take all this with a grain of salt, but this board is great for beginners. As soon as I climed on for my first ride I could feel the difference. It starts out pretty stiff for a beginner, but after a few days it's right on. The flex is great it seems to bounce you perfectly from turn to turn. The sidecut is progressive which makes turning eaiser in thre begining and then once you start to control it you can really pump some extra power out of it.
It holds an edge well and the durability has been awsome so far. I have used it 15 times and nothing but a few small scratches on the base. It's not the lightest board, but not bad for it's size. Beware, because of the progressive sidecut it DOES ride differently in each direction, but that isn't a problem just a challenge.
