The Butane was my first board, I would say that it has little flex. It isn't a bad board, its good for its price. Although it tends to get scratched and chipped, it is still pretty sturdy. Its heavy and should not be used for jumps or ramps. I now own a Burton Shuan White, this board kicks ass
