I love talking about my Doneks, and take every chance I get to do so. I never thought it was possible to have such feelings for an inanimate object, but this board is my baby. I've had it for a year-and-a-half now and haven't even come close to finding its limits. All I can say is that the more I give it, the more it gives back and begs for even more. The edge hold on this thing is unbelievable; my Donek freeride board (the 2002 Incline 168 review) tracks like a race deck, so you can imagine what the race deck does. I don't know quite what to say except that this board performs so smoothly and predictably up to a level that I have yet to reach. It's got just the right amount of spring and flex for my weight to give me the right feedback, the right amount of pop from each turn. Performs surprisingly well all-mountain, although there are some places and conditions I wouldn't feel too comfortable in with it. It sure does float well for a race deck, though (at least better than my crappy old Burton Charger), and I've taken it into the back bowls at Vail. It is, however, made for doing insane stuff on the front side, and that is what counts for this board. The Ice Blue topsheet is beautiful with the visible wood-grain underneath. I've heard (and contributed) a lot of hype for these boards, and I must say that they easily meet that hype. Also, the service is incredible, and it is so nice to be able to actually talk to the person who makes my boards, and to get exactly what I want.
