This board is pretty cool for a begginner. I just started riding but I'm not that bad and I would probly reccommend this board do an intermediate or beginner. This board turns pretty good and its got a relativley good flex. Its pretty light and I got it for $269 with Soloman S2 bindings with it so its not a bad deal. Its pretty good on jumps and its an all around good, solid board. Thumb up
