This was my first board. The quality isn't that great. I had to get the board repaired once because a huge chunk of wood got ripped out the side just from another board scraping up against it. I think it actually cracked a bit down the middle the first time I used it after a took a small spill. It made a clicking sound ever since. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anything by Liquid whether you're a beginner or not.
