FAST FAST FAST. This board is fast! It holds an edge extremely well and is very stable. Its really stiff in the tail, so it really kicks you out of turns with some speed. I had a little bit of difficulty riding it at first because I had to use my weight in turning it more than my other boards. But when I got used to it, I had tons of fun. This board is awesome because you don't lose speed when carving because it holds the edge and doesn't 'push' like a softer-flexing board. Even though its a freeride, I took it on some tabletops and it works well. This board RIPS on groomed and packed snow. Point it straight down and it's really stable. I havent had a chance to ride it in the pow yet. I had people recommend this board, and now I see why. I originally wanted the Sanders Ice Rocket, but I got this one because it was a little longer. The Ice Rocket is good, but I like the shape of this board and the graphics aren't so crazy too. Like I said in my other review, too bad Avalanche went out of business in 2000. Now the Avalanche line is carried by A-Sport Manufacturing which sells generic snowboards with the Avalanche name. Those boards are GARBAGE. You'll know if it's a real Avalanche by the shape.
