I just took up boarding after gettting tired of master's ski racing. I practiced all summer on a large slanted parking lot--500 feet long--on my 100cm Freeboard to get ready for this winter. Freeboard are an incredible and very fun learner tool, btw. I bought my Karma Wide on Ebay from a Canadian dealer who was unloading old stock. I paid $139 USD for this Karma Wide. I always hot wax it and diamond stone the edge after each session. I've used this board on soft snow, ice and general hard pack. I've had no toe drag with my size 11 boots. The board performs very well for me. It's firm and not soft. It hold well on ice, carves well in the soft, and works well edge-to-edge on the hard pack. I'd recommend it for an entry level board or for someone looking for a low coast, high value board.
