This board is my first.I love it. It is great, the flex is good, it allows you to bend if you need to but not unless you use pressure,I rented a burton and it would bend when i turn, but this board is great. I have had a few problems with turning, but that is because my feet are to big, as this leads to the biggest drawback, it is thin, most people would probably get toe hang. Otherwise it is light, responsive, and a great board. I used it in parks and it rides well. For 99$ this is a great starter or advanced board. And don't let the fact that you may not have heard of it scare you away
