This is a beginners board. I was a beginner, and now I'm not. The board chatters too much at high speeds, due to the foam core. It is far too flexible and has trouble holding some turns. It's terrible in icy conditions. It was great when I was a beginner since it's flexiblity will coast forgivingly over moguls. If you want to do fast carving and straight speed, forget this board. I'm thinking about a Santa Cruz, Ride, or Option, as my next board.
