Sweet board. I used to ride a Lib Tech Jamie Lynn, also good but soft flex and unforgiving, so I was expecting a noodle deck that's good for air but sucks for charging, I was wrong. The Dave Lee is really an all-around deck for freeride/freestyle. Stiff, fast, stable, and forgiving (yes, forgiving!). The response/manuverability is excellent -- it is comfortable carving both long AND short. The ideal board for those tree runs. If you've ridden the Burton Custom, the DL is similiar to the Custom's ease of use in either the park, pipe, or mountain. Make sense, since Dave Lee is a back-country freestylist while Jamie Lynn is mostly a contest guy. I always feel the JL is so at home in the park but not so stable in freeride mode. The DL is good for both park and mountain, but not as good as JL in the park -- as least for me, I could get more air and land better using the JL than the DL. Bottom line is, if you're looking for an all-arounder, Dave Lee should definitely be on your short list. If you're only into park/pipe or just want to cruise, look elsewhere.
